Are you like me and always have overripe bananas around? And never on purpose…
Make this blank canvas cookie that is perfect the way it is or with whatever add ins and toppings you want.
I call this picture: for the love of COOKIES!
Backstory:
I’m a bit a freak about overly sugary treats. And sugar from fruit is much better than the fake stuff in my book.
So my cookie deprived girl was thrilled to make these.
And they taste great!
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 ts cinnamon
- 1 C oats
- and we added 1 ts flax seeds (since it was around)
Directions:
- Mix and mash all the ingredients
- Plop down 2 inch cookies on your sheet tray (use parchment paper for convenience)
- Bake for 15 min at 350°
Topping options: ENDLESS
- chocolate chips (don’t deprive yourself because we do)
- raisins
- cranberries (any dried fruit really)
- nuts
- coconut flakes
- SEA SALT (do it!)
Note: for larger cookies, bake a few minutes longer
